About the School
St. Peter's School is an academy for ages 11-18, consisting of 1960's-build teaching blocks, new-build and staff houses.
The School Business Manger required a CMMS to assist in creating a complete picture of the school’s maintenance schedule. This included managing the statutory testing of equipment, creating contractor orders, and monitoring necessary refurbishment projects.
In addition, the school wanted a clear and simple procedure for all staff to report maintenance issues; these would be prioritised, assigned to site staff and overseen by the School Business Manager.
The Set-Up
- The school was set up on the client portal and login details were issued to the school's appointed property professionals, business managers, site team and staff.
- Training was given in person and support services were available by phone and email. We recognise schools work in different ways and Maintenance Manager is flexible to enhance work methods, not dictate them!
- Over the past few years the school has built up a clear schedule of its service history. It is easily understandable and helps with future planning.
- Reports are generated and referred to at regular site and governor’s meetings.
- The system is self-explanatory and required minimal support. Even so we periodically contact the school to check on how things are going and offer assistance if necessary.
